Johnny was adopted today.
For my first experience fostering a rescue, I could not have asked for a more wonderful dog.
You're a good dog, Johnny Boy. I loved taking care of you, and I will miss you. I'm so glad that you have been adopted into a forever family.
Bye, Johnny.
Bonnie,
ReplyDeleteI adopted Johnny on Monday afternoon, and I just wanted to write to you to thank you for taking such good care of him, and for sending him off with the wonderful care package. I read your blog every day during the adoption process (Heidi and Bruno sent me a link), and it helped me get to know Johnny a little better before meeting him. It made me smile today when he chased a butterfly, because I remembered you saying that that's something he likes to do.
I know that you must have been sad to let him go because he is so adorable and such a little sweetheart, but I promise that I will give him the most fun, loving home possible. I hope you will consider fostering dogs again in the future, because you and Nicholas did an amazing job of taking care of him. If you'd like, read Nicholas the following message.
Dear Nicholas,
Thank you so much for taking such good care of Johnny while you fostered him. My name is Molly and I adopted Johnny, and I promise I'm going to take really good care of him and make sure he's always happy and having fun. I know you must miss Johnny, but even though Johnny lives with me now, he will always remember how nice you were to him while you and your Mommy fostered him. You did such a good job and you should be very proud of yourself because you are a great foster-brother!
Bonnie, again, thank you so much for taking great care of Johnny (I did rename him Frankie, but he'll always be Johnny to you of course.) I hope you continue fostering dogs, and I will check up on your blog from time to time to see if any new fostering adventures pop up!
Molly
Dear Molly,
ReplyDeleteYou just totally made my day!
Love,
Bonnie
